So last Christmas my mom put this chocolate lava cake mix in my stocking and I've really been itching to try it. BUT-- i needed 3 things, 1. ramekins 2. an occasion worth its excellence, and 3. the perfect people to share it with! Of course those people were none other than our great friends Josh and Laura Hawkins, but Josh has been gone on an internship all summer. So we waited and then the occasion was just right, a welcome home dinner!
I'll be the first to admit, Laura and I were a little skeptical of the whole "lava flow" business, but we live to tell. It tasted great too!!!
Much to Andrew's dismay-- i had to have a picture 'cause we're soo glad to have the Hawkins reunited (and baby Hawkins too!)

That cake was the best thing we've ever had! I'm still amazed at how the lava formed. Yum! It was soo fun to hang out with you guys.
Ok, now i'm pumped to try mine! What if I bomb it...I'll just put out the picture of yours if mine doesn't turn out. I love that you took a photo, miss stick-a-fork-in-it one-upper!
