THE TRANSFORMATION!

Showing off his imperfect eyes before leaving for surgery!

The morning after surgery- he's really trying to open his eyes!
Being sensative to light was his biggest struggle!

I couldn't help myself- I called him Ray (as in ray
charles) for the first few days. He did a ray impression
everytime too! It was so funny!

Ok this is my favorite! He has to wear these eye gaurds
when he sleeps so that he doesn't rub his eyes.
They gave his tape, but it was leaving sticky
stuff on his face so bandaids are obviously the answer!

A NEW FOUND VISION!

Sorry I'm a little slow getting you up to date with Andrew's lasik experience. I'm happy to announce that it went PERFECTLY and Andrew is seeing great! Saturday night Andrew got a pretty killer headache and couldn't really open his eyes very well from the swelling, but after a good nights rest he woke up feeling really good and seeing without glasses too! As Sunday progressed, he was able to open his eyes fully and his vision has seemed to get clearer every minute since then. He can officially see everything that I can see (don't worry I test him on every little thing we see!) A friend of mine at work had lasik about a month ago and his eyes got really blood shot. Although he could see, he looked super scary. But Andrew never had any redness or anything! We're soooo happy about it and glad we decided to do it. Andrew says he looks for his glasses every once and a while and can't help but smile when he realizes he doesn't need them anymore! Yeay for LASIK! We're very thankful for those who helped make it possible and for the blessing of modern technology!

It's Time For A Little Retinal Correction

Saturday, February 23rd at 2:00 pm Andrew will go under the...LASER! That's right- his dreams are coming true- he's finally getting Lasik. Now I won't step on his glasses and he will be able to play ball with the big boys without having to worry about his spectacles! Pictures and updates will come soon!
So here we are. We said we weren't going to start a blog until we have children (aka when we had something cute to write and brag about) but I gave in and decided to start one. I'll try to be creative although my sisters will continue to out-do me I'm sure. I don't have cute faces to put up on mine...I mean I only have one cute face (sorry Andy)
