day 1: post a picture of yourself and tell about your day
I went through all my pictures, even the ones i've posted on facebook, and while each one tells a great story - i'm happiest in this pose!
My day was productive/frustrating/an answer to prayers
I managed to get the house totally cleaned by the time Bauer went down for his nap which was amazing. I finished all the laundry and even went as far as to fold all of it and have it put away by 5! I know, i can just sit and eat bonbons for the rest of the week.
Bauer is DEFINITELY entering the age of terrible twos. I know lots of people say 3 is even worse- but I choose not to think about that since there's no way to slow time. He's trying to shake this cough he has too, which I'm sure isn't helping his mood-- (may I add this is the first time since he came home from the hospital that been sick more than just a runny nose! lucky!)
But he's seriously swatting at me and getting SOOOO frustrated that i often times have no idea what he wants. His secret language and vigorous pointing of his finger is not an effective way of communication. He's talking more everyday (when and if he wants to that is!) so hopefully we'll start understanding each other better soon. If not, he may go take his timeout with the german shepherds next door. (jk, don't turn me in)
As for the answer to prayers, not only did i encounter many opportunities and ideas that could fill me time with positive, meaningful, yet fun and easy for Bauer to do (which was a complete answer to many prayers in and of itself!) but Andrew is rolling right now. Of course we've needed to start getting an income asap and he needed to be writing offers and learning the ropes, but most of all, I wanted Andrew to be able to see the fruits of all his hard work and the see the blessings of following the promptings of the Spirit. He's taken on a lot of weight on his shoulder and doing it in a way that didn't make sense to a lot of people, but he stuck to his gun and what he knew the Lord wanted for our family, and I really hoped that he would seen have a little burden lifted off him as some income came in and he could get in a good groove. He's sooo excited when he calls at the end of his day and nothing makes me happier.
So there's day 1. And for all you doubters out there, yes I did p90x chest and back+ab ripper. I may have started at 9:45 pm but I did it nonetheless!
