I wouldn't exactly classify the Mr. and I as a very mushy couple. We don't use pet-names for each other. We don't even come close to touching when we sleep. We don't cuddle while watching our favorite sporting events, biggest loser, or parenthood (the only tv we watch). You won't catch us holding hands very often and you won't see me write about my "hubby" in my facebook status. haha. But I've been slightly obsessed with this Train song since it entered my world via Pandora a few weeks ago while I was playing with Bauer in his room. It is so great and I just love the lyrics. I remember writing in my journal about a year after we got married that I wanted to love Andrew in a way that made him fall in love with me all over again everyday. I've still got lots of work to do in order to be that type of wife, but there's one thing I've learned. A successful marriage takes work, and living in a way that your actions, thoughts and priorities show that you're just as committed and in love as the day you sad Yes. I hope my actions throughout the day, in a way, asks Andrew to Marry Me again that day, to promise to work and love and embrace every struggle and every moment of joy we share.
I've been especially grateful for Andrew this past week. I honestly feel more in love with him today than ever before-- i hope I'm showing him the devotion, love, and admiration that proves I'm marrying him everyday.
"Marry Me"
Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do
Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way
Marry Me
Today and every day
Marry Me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Say you will
Together can never be close enough for me
Feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful
Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way
Marry me
Today and every day
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Say you will
Promise me
You'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to
Sing to you
When all the music dies
And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Say you will
Marry me
